Did you have a cup of coffee today? or a Fountain Drink from your favorite spot? or just enjoyed something you know our troops, soldiers, family and friends would enjoy?
You too can have a chance to make a soldier’s day who is deployed somewhere where they might only get a chance to drink the mess hall coffee. You can give them a cup of coffee, or a iced mocha in some of the places where are troops are stationed from Green Beans Coffee. They have a program called Cup of Joe for a Joe, and you can donate as little as $2 for 1 cup for 1 soldier, all the way up to whatever you can afford to share.
I am a big supporter of the program, and have donated as much as $10 at a time, to give 5 soldiers a cup of fresh brewed coffee, or iced coffee drink or as little as $2 every bit helps. What else is nice about this, if you want, you can type a message, that will be seen by the soldiers when they log in to get there chance at a cup. You can even let them write you a message back if you so choose to do when you fill out the form. You can pay with credit card or paypal which is nice, and it only takes a few moments to give something we have a chance to do every day.
What do I get out of this, satisfaction really, that other people are doing something to make a soldiers day. Why am I doing this, I am a veteran of the U.S. Army, served in Desert Storm/Shield, and we didn’t have stuff like this, we had some USO support, and a few care packages from time to time, but with something like this now and days, you can’t go wrong! I don’t get any monetary value out of this by the way, I do this because I really want our soldiers to be home, but if they must be away, I want to show them someone is thinking about them!

I have had friends and family that have given so much while serving our country. To help a military man in any way is a great way to give back and I love that this article was posted. Get a Joe some fresh Joe. It is a pretty big deal to them and they’d love it.

I agree they give so much, that is why as a Veteran I am a big supporter of this program. Thanks for your post!
