Over this past weekend, my wife and I took a small road trip to go see my older sister Tammy in Illinois, and one of the things we had an opportunity to do was see a movie, and “The Campaign” fit the bill. It’s a R-Rated movie, and it gets its rating for language and content, but I can tell you this is a movie to see to take your mind off the real one between the candidates going on right now. I don’t want to give away many spoilers of the film, but between the previews that you see, it is well worth the time to go watch. Once its been out for a little I may come back and touch more on certain points, but for now, a movie to see!
I will be honest, I sold the movie short before even walking in, and I was pleasantly surprised on how much my wife, sister and I laughed, there were points that having popcorn or drinking something are not recommended because of the slapstick or comedic presence this movie had.
Likes:
- Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis were hilarious together!
- Fantastic supporting cast including: Dan Aykroyd, John Lithgow, and Dylan McDermott
- Great Parody on our Campaign system today
- Lots of Laughs!
Dislikes:
- Some of what was in the previews wasn’t in the movie
- Moments when sequences in the movie didn’t tie into each other
Overall I give it (4 out of 5 Stars)
The movie definitely gets my “vote” for a movie to be enjoyed again and again. This review is of my own opinions and those of my wife and sister, and I was in no way compensated for this review, in fact I compensated the movie companies by paying to see it!
