I am a big fan of distributive computing, that is using your computers unused resources to compute for Science, Math, and Medicine, you can participate in projects (well your computer does!) that can impact how we think about everyday ways to maybe find cures for diseases, solve complex math problems, map space. I have been doing this for over 10 years, and have racked up quite a large amount of credit, I am in the top 500 in the United States with credit, and hold many top ten lists on many projects.
By Joining me in the The Olympics Challenge you too can use your computer to help thousands of others crunch data to look for these wondrous things!
If you have any questions, just post here, or email me, I love to talk about this, as its not so much a hobby any more, but more like a mission.
