Today “D” is for Determination. Why? Because we all need it. Determination is one of the hardest things to achieve sometimes because we often set ourselves up for failure before we even start. I have felt that way since taking this stride in my life with this blog, I have found that Determination is needed if I really want this to succeed. But where do you get it? Where does it come from? Often times it comes from mistakes we learn in the past, what to do right instead of wrong, what changes need to be made to make it happen. Sometimes Determination comes from fear, the fear of the unknown for the expected outcome of success. Although the strongest way that Determination comes is hard work, realizing that its not going to be easy, that its going to take some work to achieve what you want to accomplish. That it might hurt, physically if you are working out, or mentally if you are trying to pass something academic, or emotionally if you are trying to conquer a fear. Determination comes from within, but you don’t have to do it alone, you have support most of the time through your family, friends, co-workers, and groups that can help you achieve what it is your looking for.
What drives my current determination to do something, I want to finish these tasks:
- Lose 45 pounds by the end of the year.
- Make this Blog successful, have people interact with it, actually comment, and feel part of the conversation
- Realize my dream of finishing my eBay room, yes I have allot of things to sell, I just need to get it organized enough to work on it.
- Write my book, this has been a long time coming, I think I can write something amazing, just need to sit down and get it started.
Those are just a few examples of what I am “D”etermined to do!
Remember not to give up on yourself, remember that no matter what, you choose how determined you can be, and what it would take to do what it is you need to do, so share with me what is on your short list of what you are determined to do? Is there something on a longer list that determination will help you achieve?
Share your thoughts, and as always thank you for reading and being part of my world.
