My wife and I have been married for 10 years now, we celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary on October 5th. and the one thing that we carry with us throughout this whole walk together is what we call our “Saturdates” and it is exactly what it sounds like, a date on Saturday, and we have done this to always give us exclusive time together away from the house, or our families, just some “us” time to enjoy something new and exciting. We try to find new and different things to do, and try things we haven’t done before, or take mini road trips to places we have never been. Tomorrow, we are going to be hand blowing glass! We are excited, and a little nervous, but we saw this a a groupon coupon special, and had to take advantage of it. We recently did a pottery class together where we made our own bowl on a pottery wheel, they fired it and we got to go back and glaze it, that was fun and exciting as well.
Tomorrow we take on a new adventure with hot molten glass, phew!! Again we are excited, we have loved the prospect of it, and we are committed to giving it 110%, and we will see what the after products look like, I will take pictures! So look for an update to this post about how our projects turned out, and wish us luck. I am not so much worried about the heat and touching stuff being a Paramedic for as long as I have, but fearful for Michelle, but I am sure she will do great! So has anyone ever blown glass before? What did you make? Would you do it again?
Would love for you to share your thoughts below, and as always thanks for being here, and stopping by, I do appreciate each and everyone of you! Have a great day! and remember to smile! Tom.

What a fabulous idea and great way to prioritize “quality time”!
A friend of mine who owns a gallery recently offered a glass blowing class, and I wish I was able to go. I really wanted to make an ornament by myself! I’ll have to keep my eye out for another opportunity. Thanks for sharing the inspiration!

Hand blowing glass sounds like fun! I’ve seen it done before, but have never done it myself. You are both lucky to have your “Saturdates”! I would love to have a “Saturdate” with my hubby, i think we may have to make time at least once a month.

I love the whole idea of the Saturdates! Couples should really do that more often.
I have never blown glass before but I will be back to read all about your experience with it. Good luck and have fun!
