As a Paramedic I really enjoy reviewing apps that can benefit EMT’s and Paramedics in having information on hand that would help them diagnose or recognize conditions. This app just is made for that! This Arrhythmias app is user friendly, and filled with a great deal of information for each type of Rhythm being analyzed It covers all the subjects that we would learn in Paramedic class, and brings it to a concise and informative app. In addition to each rhythm strip it shows, it gives a detailed description of where in the heart the problem is occurring, what conditions might cause it, and signs and symptoms you might see. Each information block also gives treatment options based on BLS and ACLS protocols.
**Disclaimer** please refer to your departments protocols or treatments as they might differ from those in this app**
So my thoughts on the app?
- User Friendly
- Informative
- Easy to use
- Designed with EMT’s and Paramedics in mind
- Economical
My only problem with the app?
- While in landscape mode you cannot scroll all the way down on the information pages, they work fine in portrait, but not in landscape.
I think this is a app worthy of your home screen on your device, so you have a reference for the different Arrhythmia’s that you might see. I give this a 5 out of 5 stars, even with the problem with the landscape mode, that is just a small distraction from a great program. Well worth the .99 Cent cost, will be on my device for years to come.
You can get your own version by clicking the link below, I want to thank the developers for the opportunity to review this great app.
