Educational opportunities for EMT’s and Paramedics are easier then ever with great apps that you can carry with you on your iOS and android devices. Medrills has stepped up to fill this niche.
I have reviewed other apps for them, which you can check out here—> AED app review, and Fractures app review.
So like their other apps, their “Medrills: Allergic Reactions” app follows the same format as the others:
Instruction Mode
The instruction mode is a video introduction to the core subjects of the material being taught, it goes over the most important points of the subject, and focuses on the what the practice and testing modes will include.
Training Mode
The training mode takes aspects of what you learned and asks you to apply what you picked up from the lesson with questions and tasks to help you prepare for the next mode.
Testing and Achievement Modes
You can earn 1.0 CEU’s for this app approved and accredited by CECBEMS for online training, check with your state for requirements and limits for online continuing eduction. Like in the State of Ohio, you can re-certify 100% by doing your continuing education online, but states vary. Check with your State’s EMS site for clarification.
The app itself costs $3.99 and if you follow through and complete the CEU credit, that is an additional $.99 cents. For a total just under $5.

I still love these apps, easy to carry, can watch it while on post, or downtime at the base, or on your own time if you need to get your credits in. They have a great line of course subjects, and I will be reviewing a couple more in the near future as well.
Grab your copy here for $3.99 in the iOS App Store:
