The Camelbak Relay™ is a great product that helps filter your water for everyday use around your house or while camping. The best elements of the Relay™ pitcher are the following:
- Double Filter Technology, when I opened the filter I was shocked to see the design of it, but then it started to make sense, with filters working as you fill the pitcher, and a filter for when you pour the water, clean water is just a few steps away.
- The way the filter is designed with the pleats you see above, it allows it to fill up to 10x faster than its competitors.
- Relay removes 97% of chlorine, taste and odor and you can see that test data here.
- The Camelbak Relay™ fits easily in most refrigerator doors as well, making it a viable option for all families to have fresh filtered water at all times, and with the 10 cup capacity of the pitcher, you will get the most out of your filters, and when its time to refill, just see how fast it refills, no need to fill some wait for it to process, and fill again, just fill it right from the faucet, and into the fridge it goes!
- Camelbak cares about sustainability too, as the Relay Fresh filter was designed to last 4 months, twice as long as other filters on the market. Which means less plastic waste and fewer trips to the store for replacements.
If aesthetics is important to you, it does come in 3 different colors seen below.
So here are some pictures below of me un-packaging mine, and getting it ready to use.
The pitcher itself is $36.99 and you can get it shipped free from Amazon by grabbing it here. You can also grab one replacement filter here for $12 (again it lasts up to 4 months), or a three pack of them here for $28.50.

This looks ok, but it doesn’t really filter much other than chlorine according to the link. I guess if that’s what you want it’s a good choice.
