TRANSFORMERS ENERGON: THE COMPLETE SERIES
Review
Relive the Adventures of This Classic Animated TV Series in One Complete Set
Featuring All 51 Action-Packed Episodes
My days growing up was almost always watching cartoons after getting home from school, or watching them on Saturday Mornings, before always being told to go outside and play! Watching the Transformers was a big part of that childhood. Transformers: Energon was introduced in 2004 and was the second part of the Unicron Trilogy. I want to thank the fine folks over at Shout Factory, as they provided me an advanced copy of the DVD set to review.
In the YouTube video below you will see the first battle of Megatron vs. Optimus Prime in this series. As in other renditions of the Transformers cartoons, they are fighting for energy cubes called energon’s, so the ongoing battles ensue in the fight to see who can have the most as they discovered that Earth was the source of these cubes.
This series had much more of a Japanese Anime art style to it. While I am not opposed to how it came out, it’s not the Transformers you grew up on from the beginning. Some other notable changes in this series is the ability of the Autobots and Decepticons to join together to form a much larger transformer. In the early days of transformers, shy of a couple of instances, all of them were mostly independent of each other.
On May 6, 2014, Shout! Factory, in collaboration with Hasbro Studios, will release TRANSFORMERS ENERGON: THE COMPLETE SERIES on home entertainment shelves, featuring all 51 unforgettable episodes collected in one deluxe 7-DVD set. Whether discovering this series for the first time or reliving the childhood memory, this collectible DVD set is a must-have for every fan and collectors to complete their TRANSFORMERS home entertainment library. TRANSFORMERS ENERGON: THE COMPLETE SERIES is priced to own at $44.99 SRP.
With the help of his human friends, Optimus Prime and the other Autobots, try to keep Earth safe once again from the evil plans of the Decepticons. This DVD series Is a must have for any true Transformers fan, or even someone who may have never seen the history of the Transformers become what it is today. I no longer expect cartoons to be exactly like what I watched as a kid. But despite the fact that there are noticeable differences, I bet my 6-year-old would love this version (as he does all the other versions). Transformers are Transformers no matter how different they are. 🙂

I too remember when Transformers just came out. To be able to convert a car or semi to a robot was huge back then. The Transformers franchise have come a long way since then and its only gotten better.
