My son uses his Kindle for reading. He gets points at his school for hours per week that he reads.
My kids use ereaders… we have access to so many extra books and apps that just aren’t available in the tangible world. 🙂

They don’t have a real computer. Some handheld game teaches them math and a few subjects.

Grandson going to be in his first year of college so he could use this Chromebook and i might add he is a A student makes me proud taking architect for his major!!!

Both kids use their IPHONEs every day for games, apps and education.

We use the computer for educational games and my phone for the Starfall ABC and reading apps.

My rising senior uses a pc at home, and an ipad, provided by the school, that we pay $40 for (and don’t get back at the end of the year… because it’s a free education, dontcha know…LOL).

My daughter uses her IPAD quite frequently to do research for reports and finds it very easy and convenient to use.
I have several educational apps on my tablet for my daughter to play with. Right now, we love the fisher price apps!

We use the the desktop top play educational games.
My son uses our desktop and periodically an iPad to research for school papers, homework and tests.
My son uses our desktop for his school work and he has a tablet that he has downloaded books on for book reports and for fun reading.
I’m a Kindergarten teacher and I use my Ipad to play songs or games or to just demonstrate for the kids 🙂
Desktop is all my son has but it works great for research, etc!
My kids are adults but my grandkids use a home computer and their smartphones. It is amazing to me what these things can do! I taught mine with flashcards and an abbacus!

My children are grown, all use laptops. My GRANDCHILDREN use many different computers, but ALL love my IPAD.
We use our desktop computer for educational purpose but the computer is over 14 years old so it is very slow and does not always work properly, so we usually have to go to the library to do anything that needs to be done online for educational purposes.

Two of my 5 kids started using laptops provided by their school this past year. While I think it’s a good thing, I believe they should be programmed to block Facebook & all other sites because it’s just too tempting.
He uses a gyroscope for demonstrations in science class and a calculator.
We use books and computers for learning. I teach them to use everything they can to learn as much as they can.
Hp laptop for reports and research
My kids mostly use the computer for educational purposes. Once in a while if it is being used they might use Dad’s mini Ipad. That’s pretty much it. They do not have ipads, computers or tablets of their own
Question 1, part 2. They use computer for research projects, maps, printing out infor for posterboards, design project information for my high schooler, etc. My daughter will also check recipes for school stuff, research countries or people for papers, find vocabulary words using thesaurus. Consult for correct grammar is a big one in our house.
The only gadget they use right now is the computer, and they do learning activities/games
