A holiday tradition for 29 years, the I-X Christmas Connection at the I-X Center in Cleveland, Ohio merrily comes back into town November 21-23, 2014, with hundreds of unique gifts, handmade crafts, and great holiday entertainment!
I am going, are you? Cleveland, Ohio has some amazing events always happening and this is one of them, and I can tell you the times I have went, what awe and amazement I have had in all the craftsmanship, and designs to make Christmas a special day in your life and family’s life.
The Christmas shopping season starts here with over 600 10×10 booths offering something for everyone on your shopping list, naughty or nice! Handmade soaps, pottery, gourmet dips, woven garments, flavored coffees, jewelry, furniture and much more will fill the aisles with Christmas cheer. Over 70 brand new vendors will be participating in this year’s event! One of Cleveland hometown favorites, Monica Potter, star of NBC’s acclaimed drama series Parenthood, is returning home to Cleveland with her latest line of home goods, Monica Potter Home Shop, that are locally made by artisans and craftspeople in the Ohio Valley.
Patrons will be dazzled by the fun and festive atmosphere from the minute they walk in. NEW this year, will be celebrating Cleveland’s Christmas’ displays guaranteed to give patrons a look back in history. Be transported back to Cleveland’s Christmas’ past as you step into the I-X Christmas Connection, surrounded by A Christmas Story movie magic. You will be reminded of Cleveland’s Christmas past as you walk by the Sterling Lindner Davis Christmas Tree and iconic replica items from A Christmas Story House. Pose for photos with the infamous flag pole, leg lamp and fire truck. Take a break from your shopping to watch the movie A Christmas Story on the big screen. The Christmas Wine Cellar will allow patrons to take a break from shopping and enjoy a few wine tastings. If a favorite vino is discovered, full bottles will be available for purchase to take home, they make perfect gifts. After a full day of shopping, attendees will truly appreciate the Shop and Drop, allowing them to place their holiday purchases in one convenient location while they explore the show floor. Gift wrapping is free for all attendees. A donation box will be located at the Shop and Drop and other show areas with all proceeds going towards the Prayers for Maria Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to funding global research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for the deadliest childhood brain tumors known as “gliomas.” Kids will have a great time with special features meant just for them! In SantaLand they can write and mail their letters to Santa, or stick around to meet him in person. The Sugar Plum Shoppe features over 4,000 pre-wrapped gifts (under $7 each) and is perfect for pint-sized wallets to buy special little gifts for Mom and Dad. At Gingerbread Square, the first 600 kids will have the chance to decorate – and eat! – their own holiday cookie. A giant gingerbread house will be on display to help inspire some sweet ideas. “Breakfast with Santa” is a popular feature that delights parents and kids alike! Wait to see if Santa can find his way to the I-X Center, then enjoy a hot breakfast after the show. Santa, Mrs Claus and friends will be there to sing, dance and get everyone ready for Christmas.
