In everything that is modern age, from analog to digital watches, and computers to atomic clocks, nothing beats good old engineering and design in finding out the information we need. I was excited to get an opportunity to review the KALA Pocket Sundial and share with you a wonderful item that you might want for yourself, or it would make an excellent gift idea for a loved one, or a young mind exploring the world.
Time is said to stop for no one, but what if you wanted to stop and find time to learn how to use this vintage looking, and unique device to tell time where ever you are? With this Pocket Sundial you can, H.M. KALA makes two different versions a Classic (antique look) and a Shiny model as well. I chose to review the Classic model as I am a diehard antique lover, and I think it represented more of who I was. It came well packaged, and when lifting it out of it’s cork packaging, I could begin to tell the craftsmanship and quality of this Sundial in my hands. With every turn of it, you felt how sturdy it was, and meant to last quite a long time.
Obviously, you need the Sun in order to use this, but the company’s website has a wonderful tutorial page with instructions, and a video on how to use yours, in case you never have before. The Sundial is made from solid brass and steel, can be used anywhere in the world, as long as you have the sun! Imagine using this on your next adventure, or road trip. Planning a trip overseas or around the world, take it with you, and use it on different parts of the globe. No matter if you use it daily, or wear it as a necklace, get people talking about it, and order yours today here.
I love mine, plan to take it with me on my next road trip as well. Thanks for stopping by A Medic’s World, so what do you think about it? Have you ever used one before? Share your thoughts below.

This looks really nice and no I have never used a sundial before. But, I have a sunny office window and I think it would look fab hanging from the curtain rod and see if I can tell time with it. Or I could just wear it as a necklace and for less than $10, it’s a steal. Thanks!
