I am sure we have all seen the infomercials, and all thought to ourselves do these really work, and are they worth the money?  I had an opportunity to review the Rotator® Powered Lift-Away® from Shark Vacuums, and I wanted to share my opinions on what I found.

Well-Built

Alot of design and engineering went into creating this vacuum.  You can tell by how it feels, the sturdiness of it, and how it manuevers when you move it around.  The handle itself feels awesome, and they built it with ergonomics in mind.

Accessories

This vacuum comes with an array of attachments.  What is included with this particular model?

Hard Floor Genie^™ – picks up large debris and fine dust in one easy step.
Canister Caddy – an ultra-maneuverable base with wheels for portability and room for accessory storage, the caddy quickly converts this upright vacuum into a convenient, hands-free canister vacuum.
Dusting Genie – Two cleaning tools in one. The crevice tool gives you extended cleaning reach into small spaces, while the dusting brush cleans a multitude of surfaces.
Dusting Brush – Dusts and cleans a multitude of surfaces.
Upholstery Brush – Perfect for grabbing pet hair and lint from furniture and other upholstered surfaces.
TruePet^™ Mini Motorized Brush – Picks up pet hair, loose debris, and powerfully deep cleans surfaces.
Power Brush – Designed for removal of pet hair and ground in dirt from carpeted stairs and upholstery.
Crevice Tool – Provides extended cleaning reach into small spaces. Hard Floor Genie^™ vacuums large debris and wipes away fine dust in one easy step.

Ease of Use

With the new swivel steering, this Shark Vacuum is easier than ever to use.  There is a small learning curve to getting it to go where you want, when you turn it, but that is quickly adapted as you use it more.  With the ability to remove the pod with the Lift Away button, placing it on the Canister Caddy is easy, and allows you the maneuverability of a canister vacuüm in mere moments.  The canister caddy also allows you to store extra tools to make sure you have the right one in any circumstance that comes up.

Overall Summary

I love all the accessories, and the storage bag that comes with it,as it fits all of them as well.  Easier to maneuver than other models that Shark has made in the past, I think this is an economical alternative to competitors that make similar type vacuums.   Be sure to check them out on Twitter, and Facebook as well.
