Check for Local Listings: (Rated: TV-Y7) This is scheduled to air on the Disney XD channel on Monday July 6th, check your local programming on when to watch it. I am so excited the time is finally here. This is due to hit the TV airwaves on Monday, July 6th. Be sure to check your local listings for when Star Wars: Droid Tales will air in your area.
The series retells the stories of the Star Wars universe in chronological order from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace™ up through Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™, through the eyes of C-3PO and R2-D2. It is covered over five parts, and truly captures the story of Star Wars from the comical and creative way that can only be done using Lego’s.
So why am I excited? Well I got to see part of the first episode when I had the honor to visit the Lego Star Wars event at Lucas Films LTD while in San Fransisco during a blogging event. You can check out the link to see pictures of me with R2-D2 and the Storm Troopers as well.
Here are some screenshots from the first episode called: Exit from Endor
I have had to keep “hush hush” about this till now, but all I can tell you was that watching it made me laugh, as well as educate me on how the Star Wars Saga unfolds. You can check out a very short teaser video on XD Disney’s own website here.
This should be exciting for fans of all ages, as well as seasoned and new viewers to the Star Wars Universe. I know I will be watching them. This will be a great primer for those few who have never seen Star Wars, or a good refresher for those that have, before the next big Star Wars Movie hits the big screen in December.
So have you heard about this series yet? What do you think now? Let me know if you plan to catch these by yourself or with your family? ~Tom
