One of the joys growing up as a kid for me was getting to visit the corner store and check out all the penny candy, and to see how much I could get with my allowance that week, or if I was to sell my milk at lunch time, buy what I could from that. b.a. Sweetie Candy Company helps revive those memories with shelves of candy we all grew up loving and more.
Times have changed, and candy has changed, but at this store you can reminiscence and find some of the candy that you grew up with, along with modern day classics as well. Here is a picture of just a couple of the items they have that we bought on our recent trip there this past Saturday.
Prices varies on what you buy, what is amazing about b.a. Sweetie is that you can buy things individually, or in bulk like the Cherryhead’s and Lemonhead’s above. They also package different candy to sell in bulk and package it all in house. They have one of the largest selections of Pez dispensers I have ever seen, and have every current flavor of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans available as well. I couldn’t even begin to cover all that they have, it is truly a place that you have to see for yourself. Check out the slide show of pictures of their facility below.

We did have a small issue with customer service this last trip. Ashley who rang everything up, and was trying to bag everything seemed to not enjoy taking care of us. Also when my wife, went to the counter to check out, people were just standing around, and finally Ashley said “I guess I will take care of you”. We never had this trouble before, and we are seasoned veterans of this place, as we love it so much. Minus that, this is a place that you have to see to believe, and if you are traveling or visiting family, you have to go. To me it is a destination that everyone should experience at least once in their life.
Have you ever been? or have family that has been? What is your favorite nostalgic candy that you wish you could find?

I love those candies and I have not had them in a long time. I will check if I can get them here.

I like candy shops. I used to get these apple ball candies from a place that shut down. Now I can’t find them anywhere. I should give them a try.

This place seems amazing! I’ve been to a place similar to this in Cape Cod who had candies that I haven’t seen since the 1990s! This seems like a place I would definitely love to visit! Sorry about the poor customer service though! Seems like she didn’t want to be working that day, huh?!

Thanks so much for the comment. It was sad, the first time that ever happened there. So I thought I would just share it so the company knew. Have a great day! ~Tom
