Two shows are returning to SyFy tonight. Both Continuum, and Z Nation will be airing tonight September 11th, and I am excited to see them back. I have really missed Continuum, why? I really thought for the longest time that I wouldn’t get closure to the show, that after the third season, it ended, and I never got some of the answers I wanted. Why did I think that? The last episode aired June 27th, 2014. That is almost 15 months ago.
The problem is, I am having a hard time remembering some of the events from that long ago. Syfy did have recaps of the episodes posted on their website, but as fans, do you think we should have to wait this long to see the return of a season? Don’t get me wrong, I am thankful that it is coming back, and that I will get to see it end the way it was supposed to.
Not to mention in that time lapse (get it, Continuum, Time Travel) we got to see Defiance return, and also have the addition of 2 new shows called Killjoys and Dark Matter come on board. I really love the new shows that debuted, and will write more about those in a different article later.
But the distance between seasons on SyFy seems to be growing, the first time I think I can remember it happening was with Helix, where it wrapped up its first season in early 2014, and said it wouldn’t be back til 2015. Same thing with 12 Monkeys (which I absolutely love) it wrapped up earlier this year, and won’t be back til 2016. Is this the new norm? Part of me wonders if it loses people, or does it create more of a longing for a TV Show? I am curious to know what all of you think too?
Z Nation also returns tonight. I find it to be an entertaining show, and hoping that it continues to build some momentum this season, with some interesting story lines.
So do you watch either one? Are you excited to see Continuum come back so we can finally see what was supposed to happen?
