There are so many things in the air we breath in every day. Things like mold, mildew, bacteria, dust mites, and animal dander to just name a few. The Honeywell Air Cleaner I had a chance to review, can help alleviate some of these, and make the air around you cleaner.
This Air Cleaner can help capture up to 99.9% of all the large particles that you can see, and even the ones that you can’t see, like ones that are smaller than a human hair. With a range of up to 150 SqFt this will help get rid of the annoyances that are in our air every day.
The inner filter is washable. I like this, because maintenance is easy, and can be done after you see how much particles it is catching from the air. Just let it air dry, and you are all set to put it back, and let it run again. You should do this about every 3 months.
Let’s talk about some of the key features below:
- Auto shut-off timer for 2, 4 & 8 hr (This is great if you have plans and only want to run it for certain amount of time)
- 4 air cleaning levels (Sleep, General, Allergen, and Max)
- Optional oscillation (it turns like a fan, great if you have a certain placement for it, and want it to cover more space)
- Compact Size (I love the form factor of this Air Cleaner, doesn’t take up to much space, and you can place it on a table or dresser if you wanted)
I tested it in several modes, from different times and different settings for the cleaning mode that you select. I found that the sound was not excessive when using the Sleep, General, and even the Allergen modes. Now if you run it in Max mode, I found that the noise is a little noticeable. If you are going to run Max, just be prepared for it when you used it.
I love compact size, all the features that it has, the washable filter, and you can set it to a timer to run. In the box is an optional filter you can put in, that will help odor control. This filter you can not wash however, and you will need to buy new ones to replace when they start to show wear.
At a price point of $129.99 or less, it would make an excellent addition to your home. I think this would benefit those who have asthma, or other breathing problems. This would also be great for kids rooms to minimize the amount of dust mites, or maybe mildew that might be in the room. I give it a definite thumbs up from me, and with the name of Honeywell behind it, you are getting the best. ~Tom

The 9.8 score you gave was impressive. I have been looking into buying a Honeywell and was not really that sure about it. Thanks for the review!
