Everyday we go through life doing what we do, and hoping we don’t get sick or injured. But what do you do to take measures to prevent things ahead of time? I try and visit my doctor every 4 months, and get basic blood work done, have my blood pressure monitored, and just to get the peace of mind that I am doing okay.
We all have routines, we all have beliefs, but do we all have plans that make sure we take care of ourselves, and try to follow plans that can maybe keep us from harms way before it happens?
UnitedHealthcare provides preventive care health options to Men, Women, and Children. Preventing disease and detecting health issues at an early stage is essential to living a healthy life.
Most insurance plans through UnitedHealthcare provide preventive care which with routine checkups and screenings can help keep you stay healthy before you have symptoms.
Things like mammogram’s, a colonoscopy, or routine blood work, can keep your doctor informed on what is going on, and things you can do to stay healthy before major symptoms or complications were to occur. To find out more of what is diagnostic vs. preventative, check out some of the links I have included below.
Men are less likely to get checkups and visit the doctor on a regular basis and this leads to more problems later in life. This can be avoided by going to your Doctor and discussing screenings for things like obesity, colorectal cancer, diabetes, cholesterol, and blood pressure.
What is great about the UnitedHealthcare site is that you can enter your age and sex, and it will supply you with all the preventive measures you should be doing to stay healthy. It is important to communicate with your Doctor. It is of greater importance to realize all the options you have with your healthcare, be sure to find out what you can do to better yourself today.
