You might remember a few months ago that I did a review for our new GE Refrigerator that has a built in Keurig brewing system. Of some of the appliances that we have owned and some of the reviews I have had a chance to do, the feature that dispenses hot water for Keurig Cups has to be our favorite. The holidays are fast approaching and we are excited to offer our family and guests different drink options that we couldn’t before.

You didn’t know you can make hot coffee, tea or hot cocoa from a refrigerator? Well you can, and you can read about it in the link to the review I shared above.
This GE Refrigerator allows you to set up a Wi-Fi connection so you can monitor and change the temperature, get alerts when the temperature drops, and for example it can schedule hot water to be ready when you want a cup of coffee . So you wake up in the morning and have it scheduled ready for 7:30am, put the K-Cup in and hit the dispense button. There you go, a hot cup of coffee to start the day.
The reasons my wife and I love the features of the hot water scheduling and the built-in Keurig dispenser is the benefits of hot cocoa. We both love a great cup of hot cocoa. Swiss Miss is our favorite but we plan to try different brands as we find assortment packs for purchase.
In addition to all of the reasons I have mentioned above already, being able to ask our guests or family if they want a cup of coffee or tea is a great feature as well. Offering pop, water, or juice are not the only choices we can give them now.
Best Buy has always provided some of the most innovative appliance options for your home and ours. With the gallery you see above, you can see the different amounts that can be scheduled for your dispensing needs and with the water being filtered through your refrigerator you will know that it is free of things found in everyday tap water.
Whether you plan to use it for coffee, tea, hot cocoa, hot cider, or soups from a K-Cup you can rest assured that it will be ready when you are and give you, your guests and your family the drink options that you want on a daily basis.

This is fantastic!! I LOVE hot water on demand!! I drink hot water from my tap all the time and while it gets pretty hot it’s never hot enough for tea!! This would be perfect!

Goodness that’s too fancy for me 🙂 Its neat and all, and would be convenient, but it would be strange getting hot water from the frig. Does it make the frig less efficient? I have to admit it is cool though that it can do it.

Not at all. Since its takes about 2 minutes to heat, there is no hot water flowing through the fridge, only at the exit point when ready. It is pretty neat though!
