We all use energy. We all use resources that are changing the footprint we leave on our planet every day. Whether it is coal to power turbines that provide electricity to power plants or even natural gas from under the ground, we are using energy every day. Did you know you can reduce the energy you do consume with ENERGY STAR® rated appliances and devices? You can, we all can.
There are so many ENERGY STAR products to choose from at Best Buy but I would like to discuss two of them in a little detail. Those are Soundbars and Dryers.
Soundbars
I don’t own a soundbar. I have thought about one and what it would be like to hear some awesome sound especially when it comes to movies and sporting events.
Did you know that in 2015, Best Buy customers purchased enough ENERGY STAR® certified Audio Equipment and Sound Bars to collectively help prevent the greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to removing 2,013 cars from the road for an entire year. I don’t know about you, but that makes a difference to me. If we all found ways to find products that did this when we were looking, image what all of us could do each year.
If you are like me then ENERGY STAR products are a good choice for people interested in reducing their energy bill while helping to protect the environment. You can find more information on sound bars that Best Buy has available here.
Dryers
I love our dryer and I am proud to say that it is ENERGY STAR certified. Your dryer can be one of the most energy demanding devices in your home. If you have a chance to get a new dryer, you should always ensure that it is ENERGY STAR certified to keep your utility bills in check.
With the right dryer you can use 20 percent less energy than conventional models without sacrificing features or performance. If all clothes dryers sold in the US were ENERGY STAR certified, Americans could save $1.5 billion each year in utility costs and prevent greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to more than 2 million vehicles. That is a staggering number, considering that 80% of American homes have a clothes dryer.
We all can do our part, and to find out more about clothes dryers that are certified and ready to save you money, you can find more information here.
One of the most beneficial things about ENERGY STAR products is that rebates are often available from utilities for smart home products and appliances. Find rebates in your area here for energy-saving products.
How many ENERGY STAR products do you have in your home? Share your thoughts below, would love to hear what you think. ~Tom
