It’s 2018, and I tell you what. There are some fast food items that I am severely missing. Often times a Fast Food franchise will come out and offer us something new that’s exciting and great. However, sometimes they take them away. This is when it becomes unacceptable.
I am sure there are many things that people wish came back. There are times when companies just did not give something enough time, or never listen to the fans that love it.

Here is a list of 5 things that I wish would come back in 2018 and stay.
Wendy’s Original Fries

While they have been gone for some time now. I think I can still imagine how they tasted. When they were hot and fresh they were just magic waiting to be eaten. They had that softness to them. That “mushiness” level that just was so irresistible. I knew a few people who enjoyed dunking them in their frosty, but that was not my thing.
I am not asking them to get rid of the ones they replaced them with, just bring them

McDonald’s Original Apple Pie
Ah! The original apple pie at Mcdonald’s. Remember when you would burn the roof of your mouth or your tongue when you bit into it? I remember, but I didn’t care. If you took your time and ate it right, it was one of the best-tasting desserts at any fast food restaurant.
While there are a couple places that you can get something similar to the apple pie at McDonald’s check out Arthur Treachers if you have one, or the fried pie at Rally’s.
Burger King’s Original Chicken Tenders
I loved these things. Boy, do I miss them!
Okay, I remember when you could get a box of 5 of these for a $1. One whole dollar. Fast Food Goodness. I would actually go inside to get these. I would get 4 orders and ask for them to be made fresh. I didn’t mind the wait because I knew how they would taste when they finally handed me the bag. Nothing has come close for me in taste from them for some reason. Oh well, I will just have to keep dreaming that they will come back.
Taco Bell’s Strawberry Frutista Freeze
I have to admit, other than the original taco, and maybe the original chicken taco without pico sauce, there was not much at Taco Bell I liked except for this. The Strawberry Fruitista Freeze. It had pieces of strawberries in it as well. When it comes to fast food and hot days, this was one of the few things I used to desire on a daily basis. I know they probably won’t bring it back, but I wish they would.
Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Original Recipe Chicken Tenders
Okay. For me, I saved the best one for last. This has been one that I still tweet about to KFC to this day. Fast Food Gold is what this was. When these first came out, I went nuts! To order a 3-piece with mashed potatoes and a biscuit was one of the most enjoyable things I could order and have it be a “comfort” food for me. Then they did what they always do, they got rid of them.
Why? I know the crispy ones are great for those who dip, but for those of us that don’t. The original recipe chicken strips were such an amazing addition. Here is my question to KFC. You have the original recipe seasoning ready to go for your chicken, why can’t you just make tenders for those of us that want them? Offer both, and see what happens. Why not click to tweet the following below, and let’s get their attention! ~Tom

The original McDonald’s Apple Pie will never be duplicated! I doubt it will come back! However., I will be there if it does!
I had no idea McDonald’s got rid of its Original Apple Pie. I used to love those as a kid even though I had to wait awhie before I ate it.(It burns!)
I guess I am sheltered as I have not had any of these.
I am a fan of fries! Wendy’s Original Fries would be nice to have.

I really miss McDonald’s Original Apple Pie
I am sure McD’s could bring back the pie healthier than before and just as tasty! So many unhealthy foods being replaced, but they really just need some control. Make the portions a little smaller and the sauces on the side, it makes a big difference.

I miss the old McDonald’s french fries! I know they are much less healthy than what they serve now but if I wanted healthy food, I would NOT go to McDonald’s! I guess the addition of sugar and the “bad” oil made all the difference in the world in McDonald’s fries!
I want something I can never get back – the fries made at a long-gone fast food joint called The Orange Saloon. They were the best fries that ever existed. Nothing has ever compared.
I really don’t see why they don’t bring back some of these greats. I mean they would really sell..
I agree about missing McDonalds apple pies. I they were delicious and so easy to eat while I’m driving.
Mcdonalds Mcrib sandwich and meal , It only comes around thanksgiving and thats it, I wish it would come around more often. its so good and the sauce on mcdonalds fries is fire …yummmm

I agree with you on the KFC strips! The new ones are all crunch and so little chicken I just don’t even bother ordering anymore.
One thing I wish Taco Bell would bring back is their Naked Chicken taco and their Double Chalupa. Holy crud, those were so good! I think they’ll be seasonal, so they might make an appearance this summer or something, but come on, TB, give a girl the goods year round!

I very much agree with the KFC and the BK tenders. I miss the old Wendy’s fries. The new ones are honestly terrible!
I don’t eat fast food much anymore, maybe once or twice a month. I do agree with some of these, but others I don’t remember them to say one way or the other.

I agree! ESPECIALLY the apple pies. I have scalded myself many a time with those lol. KFC used to have terriyaki wings a long time ago and they were so good.

I agree with all of these! I forgot how much I missed them until I read this. Those original apple pies from McDonald’s were so good. They were my favorite treat!

The BK nuggets you can still get here and they are like $1.49 or so. They do not taste as good as the old ones though. I eat the new ones because I am not into their burgers but hubby likes the food now and again.
I don’t go to Wendy’s much for they shut one down that was close to us. I love the original Kentucky fried chicken recipe and I do agree with that. All of that makes me hungry!

We like McDonalds chicken nuggets. We also like Pizza Hut pizzas, only pepperoni. We also like french fries.
My wife was upset when they took away the Arby Q.

I couldn’t agree with you more! I especially miss KFCs old chicken strips, there was nothing better than a 3-piece with mashed potatoes(with gravy) and a biscuit! I would get this often as well. I haven’t eaten there in years because of the change, they should really think about switching back lol. 🙂

Ooh that’s a tough one!! I don’t eat fast food much so Im not sure what places do and don’t have anymore. But I do miss green onions at Taco Bell and Sprouts at Jimmy Johns!! I get why they got rid of them but I’ll risk me some food poisoning and pay extra for them to come back lol!!

The original chicken nuggets at McDonalds. These all white meat nuggets are OK but not as good as the originals.

YES i totally agree with you especially on the wendy fries and the burger king tenders !!! they were my favorite i would go to both just get fries from wendy’s and the TENDERS from BK
