That was such a sad day, on a personal level, as a brother in arms while working in EMS, and as a Nation that lost innocent people on a day that should have never happened. Share your memories, thoughts, and stories of your day, and how it changed you below. ~Tom

Thank you for posting this. I was getting my little man ready to take him to the zoo for the very first time… it waited for another day. God Bless us all!

This is a day that I know that I will never forget. I was in Chicago and was evacuated due to what was happening in NY. When I got home, all I wanted to do was to hug my children and be with family.

I had been up all night & only gone to bed at about 7 a.m., so I slept until about 1 that day. I got up, flipped the tv on & was standing at the bathroom sink when the tv screen (I could see it from the bathroom) caught my eye because of the smoke & fire. The sound was turned down, so I couldn’t hear what was being said. I remember being so puzzled. What on Earth was going on in NYC? Of course, I immediately turned the sound up & I don’t think I left that tv for 24 hours! Sometimes I wonder: was I the last person in the country to hear about this?

I was staying the night with a friend and had woke up to this on tv.
