I was a paramedic for almost 23 years before I became the drive behind A Medic’s World here. So one thing I can absolutely say I know a great deal about is safety, and being ready for anything. I wanted to share the review of the JNCAIR from Clore Automotive with you because I think all of you should be ready in your own way as well.
While this should not be the only thing in your Emergency Kit, it should be one of the most important (next to a first aid kit, of course!). Finding the right one can matter on the company, it’s reputation, and the price of the the item. While talking about the one I received from Clore Automotive for the purpose of this review, their tagline “Products you can count on.” really does describe how great of a product this is.
Some of the best features?
- 1700 Amps of Jump Starting Power – It rivals most competitors and why not? To have the best, you have to put out the best, and Clore Automotive definitely delivers here.
- Industrial Grade Clamps, these things are designed to stay where you put them! Especially helpful in times when weather is not so nice to you.
- Extra Long 68″ Cables, I don’t like ones that the cables barely reach to the battery, and this also gives you an added protection of safety.
- Hassle-Free Charging, just plug your extension cord into the front of the unit, and let it charge. It will automatically stop itself from receiving too much power even if you forgot you left it plugged in. This helps protect your charger, and also extends the life of the internal battery.
- 12 ft. coiled air hose with screw-on chuck, one of the things I hated about a competitors model a few years ago when I owned one, was that it did not feature a screw on chuck like this one does, and kept popping off. Now with it not slipping off, never will you fail to get the consistency of air you need, in the timely manner that you need it.
- It has a 12 volt DC adapter in the front to plug in those important phone chargers, emergency flashlights, etc…
So far I have only found one issue, I am not going to call it a problem, because it really isn’t one, but I just need to point it out, since everyone reading needs to know that I do a fair and thorough review. While it is called a Jump and Carry, it is a hefty boy! I am 6’1″ myself, consider myself strong, but with this coming in at 28.3 pounds, its a big boy! To appreciate the quality behind the build of this, you have to respect how it feels and looks. It is definitely not the competitors model, as this is meant to handle some high endurance situations, and always be ready for them!
I wanted to share some of my own photo’s of it up close, so take a look.
As with everything, make sure you always read your owners manual, on how to use everything properly, understanding the maintenance requirements, and your warranty. These things will help you get not only the results you need, but extended years out of this with continued good care.
This will be in the back of my Nissan X-terra for a long time, and I think you should have one in the back of your vehicle as well. You can grab your Jump-N-Carry JNCAIR and Air Compressor today over at Amazon. I just wanted wanted to touch base a moment about Paying it Forward. Now I am not saying you need to stop at every situation where you see someone with their car hood up, but maybe consider the circumstances and then see if you can help. If you are in a position to help and you have one of these maybe pull up and slightly crack your window and ask what is wrong, if it something other than the battery or a tire, ask them if they have a phone, and if not, you will offer to call the police for them, for assistance, if they specify they don’t want that, just say “that is what I am willing to do to help you” if not move on. Always be aware of your surroundings, if it is dark, safety is number one, never stop if you feel unsure, especially if you are alone. If you are with someone, just use your eyes and ears to assess, and maybe offer help if you can. I don’t think any of us want to be stuck in inclement weather, I know I wouldn’t, and hope one day someone would stop to help me if I needed it, again assess the situation, see if you can help, if not, remember your safety is first, and call someone to see they can be helped. Share this with others, maybe see if we can change the way we all treat each other. I know one day I am going to need help, just as I have helped others for almost a quarter of a century, just hope there is someone there who might do that for me and others. ~Tom

My buddy has one of these in his old Tahoe. It’s got a powerful air compressor for pumping tires and the jump starting feature has been a godsend in the cold — it’s saved more than one service call for a jump or tire replacement. Thanks for the review!

Great review….very thorough. I wish that I had this review when I was shopping for jump starters last winter. I’m not very happy with that purchase.

I never heard of JNCAIR from Clore Automotive until now or a device for an auto that does so much!! The Jump Starter w/ Air Compressor sounds like a car’s emergency life-line!! I have looked at Sears for some automotive things for my hubby for Father’s Day, etc. & haven’t seen anything like this. With our IL winters, the Jumper Starter could be a life-saver for us or like you mentioned, for helping someone else (what a nice thought)! Seeing cars with their hoods up around here is not an unusual sight. I will tell my husband about this product. THANKS! I will be the knowledgeable one about auto accessories for a change :}

This sounds like a really handy device to have in the trunk in case of an unexpected flat or dead battery. I may have to invest in one of these soon.

This sounds like a good one. I’ve had other brands, & they worked once & never again! But I agree every one would benefit from having this in their car!
