My wife Michelle almost let out a “squee” when the iRobot® Roomba® 870 showed up to review at our door.  I can share with you that she had wanted one for years, and up until this point it was always on my short list of things to get her one day.  Now that we have one I can honestly say, it might be one of her new favorite “things” in the house right now.

Clean floors like never before with the revolutionary AeroForce™ Performance Cleaning System.  iRobot’s most powerful vacuuming system yet delivers 5x the suction and removes up to 50% more dirt, dust, hair and debris.  We found this especially true when we were emptying out the bin.  With other vacuum’s we have used, we notice that hair gets stuck easily in the brush roller, not the case with the iRobot’s Tangle-free AeroForce™ Extractors.  The hair ended up in the bin, not stuck around the roller.

Let Roomba help you with the hard work.   Just press Clean or schedule Roomba to vacuum when it’s most convenient for you. And no need to hunt Roomba down– it automatically returns to it’s Home Base® to recharge between cleanings.  This is one of the best parts, you tell Roomba when you want the work done, and it works on your schedule, and what if it starts running low on power?  No need to worry here either, it will find it’s way back to its home charging base, to recharge and be ready for the next scheduled cleaning.   I am sure my wife wishes that would happen with me more often, recharge, and actually finish the work I started.  Check out the video below showing the Roomba docking for recharge.

Roomba leads the charge in robotic vacuuming. Roomba’s slim profile lets it clean under furniture, including beds, skirted furniture, tables and cabinetry while the spinning side brush grabs dirt and debris from tough places like wall edges and corners.  It went under and around the dining room table chairs, it went under the sectional, and the ottoman as well.  It was able to pull dust and debris away from the tough spots as it navigated through the kitchen.  It felt refreshing to walk on the floor barefooted after using it.  Was such a pleasant surprise.

My wife even gave it a couple of extra tasks, and put random pieces of bread in different areas of the kitchen, the dining room, and the back hallway.  I am happy to report that it picked up all of them, and proved that it does do a thorough and detailed search of the area, based on where you put the virtual wall barriers.   The unit being reviewed came with 2 of them, but you can buy more based on the needs of your house.

So lets see, you can tell it what to do, when to do it, and how you want it done.  What can be better than that? oh yes, the fact that the Hepa filter keeps dust, dander, and other allergens out of the air.  On a full charge, and with proper placement of the iRobot® Roomba® 870 it will get the vacuuming done in an efficient and timely manner.
