Let’s take a look at the Scroll Alpha High Precision 8200DPI Wired USB Laser Gaming Mouse made by Etekcity. When it comes to having the right mouse to play games with, I can attest that having the right product will enhance your gaming experience like no other.
I have tried using a wireless mouse before for gaming. It just doesn’t work. What if the batteries run low, and you need to hit that final blow to kill a dragon, and all of a sudden your mouse dies? Having a wired mouse for gaming is a must, finding the right one for you is the important part. Me?, I think I found a real contender in a mouse that fits who I am, and what I want to accomplish.
So what are some of the features of this mouse? Let’s take a look.
- High configuration gaming mouse: up to 8200 DPI, 12000 FPS, 1000 Hz polling rate, 150 IPS cursor speed, and an Avago ADNS-9800 sensor. Omron micro-switches provide crisp, firm clicks.
- Six DPI sensitivity modes, indicated by the mouse lighting color, multilevel adjustment from 200 DPI to 8200 DPI, supporting 200 DPI stepping adjustment. The LED light can be turned off if necessary.
- Macro definition: Special driver helps you save 5 configuration files macro definition based on your needs.
- Ergonomically designed, long-term use without fatigue; Symmetrical Design – Perfect for Left and Right handed Gamers; 5ft braided-fiber cable with gold-plated USB connector ensures greater durability.
I love the effort Etekcity put into this mouse. From the braided-fiber cable to the gold-plated USB connector, they took time to create something that was not only functional, but durable and that would perform as you needed it.
I have large hands when it comes to comparing a computer mouse. Ones I use everyday are small compared to this one, but the Scroll Alpha Mouse fits nicely in my hand, and when I mean fits, it literally allows me to grasp the whole size of the mouse comfortably, and its design allows it to feel natural in my hand. Having that, along with the programmable buttons on the sides of the mouse, truly makes this something I could see myself using for great games like Elder Scrolls: Online, the new Batman Arkham Knight game coming out (which I would love to review for the PC), and other games like Lego Batman and many more.
Overall impression? Since this is the first gaming mouse I have ever reviewed, I don’t have a reference to compare it to, other than a regular mouse used for everyday computing. If I had to compare it to that, I will be using the Etekcity Alpha Scroll Mouse for all my gaming needs. So grab one here for yourself or as a gift, and check out Etekcity on Facebook and Twitter as well.
