Have you ever wanted an advanced Laundry Set that can perform to the level that you expect? Well, let me tell you about this Samsung Activewash Laundry Pair available at Best Buy.  I also have to disclose that:  The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free.

Firstly, I wanted to address the delivery crew from Best Buy that delivered the new Washer and Dryer and took away the old ones.  Our old ones had been about for about 8 years, so we were glad to see them go.  The crew was professional, discussed exactly what they were going to do, addressed any concerns we had, and carried themselves with a sense of pride in their work, and did it efficiently.   They carried out the old ones, and brought in the new ones, careful to avoid banging walls or floors.  They installed all new hoses and hook-ups to our existing water lines and vent for the dryer.  They started a test run to verify there were not leaks in the hoses and to alleviate any scents the dryer would have from the factory.  They explained how to turn them on, and some of the basic features to get things going.  In the past I have had things delivered, but not like this, I was truly amazed at how well everything went, getting them in place.  So, Thank You Best Buy Delivery for making that a priority.

So does getting this to review, change my thoughts on how awesome these are?  Heck no, uh oh, that came close to a curse word.  Let me share with you what I think of them, and how they have enhanced how we do laundry now.

So let’s break it down by each one, first up the ActiveWash Washer by Samsung:

So what was one of our (my wife and I) favorite features?  Probably the built-in dedicated sink.  It allows you to hand wash delicate items without the need to put it through a full cycle, or with the way the sink is designed to scrub heavily soiled items before putting them through a cycle.

See those ridges around the edges?  You can use them to scrub your clothes to get some of the grime out of them before washing.  How awesome is that?  Or as I shared use it to clean a delicate item without even needing to run a cleaning cycle to do it.

Talk about capacity! Have we talked about that yet? Well let me tell you, it holds quite a few clothes.  We did a test with a small amount of clothes to see how it would do.  How did it respond? It was smart enough to measure the amount of clothes you have and add enough water just for that load to save water.  It was amazing to see that.

So let’s talk about the dryer a little bit.  It has a shoe rack!  Yes folks, a shoe rack!  No more rumbling from the dryer with shoes tossing around constantly.  Not only is that annoying to hear, its not good for the dryer drum either.  I am so glad this dryer from Samsung has one.

One thing we noticed right away was that it took less time to dry.  That saves electricity and that is a good thing for our household.  Also it has the Steam option that will help reduce wrinkles in the clothes that come out.

One thing I wanted to note about safety was the Vent Sensor, that will shut the dryer off in case of a clogged vent, that could lead to a fire.  While we are home at the times we do our laundry, if you were to leave it unattended, that is a impeccable feature to have for safety.
