Cash Explosion Game Show in Ohio
Let’s get a little serious now. I really would like to get picked for the Cash Explosion Game Show one time in my life. Why? because honestly, it would be really fun to go on, and have a chance to win a substantial amount of money. Cash Explosion has been on the air since 1987 and is currently the only weekly airing Lottery Game Show in the United States.
This is my 11th Entry ticket in my whole life. I don’t buy lottery tickets on a regular basis. So when I get a Cash Explosion ticket, and it has Entry on it 3 times, I get excited at the hope that my name will get drawn. I know it is a long shot, and frankly I don’t know if I will ever get picked but it is a dream and a fantasy all the same.
When you submit your Entry Ticket, either by mail, or online with the Ohio Lottery website, your ticket is supposed to be randomly mixed with others who have submitted theirs in the same time period. Of those submitted, 8 names are drawn, with four being in the first half of the show, and four being in the second half.
For being on the show, if you were to pick all the worst spots on the board, you would still leave with $5000 minimum. That is not a bad hunk of change for sending in your ticket that you bought for $2.
But, that is only the minimum, if you win the round you are in against the other 3 players, whatever score you had gets doubled, so if you win $9500 and you are the highest of the four, they it would get doubled to $19,000 plus what ever bonuses you picked up while playing the game. Then you get to go on the bonus game at the end to try and win even more money.
So cross your fingers with me, pull out your 4-leaf clover, flip your lucky coin, and let’s see if this ticket can get drawn. I know it’s a dream, but it’s a nice dream, you know?
Do you play any lottery games in your state? What are some of your favorites? Have you won any major money playing?

Bud,
I have sent in 631 entry tickets and have never had my name called. I see people who are on there that say it was their only entry ticket that they have ever had so go figure.
Tom Shewbridge says
Wow. That is a lot of tickets. Good Luck one day!
Jo says
I save all mine and enter them together thinking that will give me a better chance but I never get picked either:(
One time I had like 10 tickets in the same drawing. Bummer!! I wonder what the odds are!
Tom Shewbridge says
I don’t know Jo, but when people get picked 2 and 3 times I keep thinking, how?

I just watched where 2 of the contestants had been on the show before!! Now how is that? People from the bigger cities always are picked! Gee that must be a coincidence!! No such thing. It’s rigged like everything else is. No doubt in my mind.
Tom Shewbridge says
I hope it’s run fairly. But just had my 15th entry ticket not drawn.
Bill Johnson says
If you’re sending all the tickets in 1 envelope, they’re all disqualified. 1 entry ticket per envelope.
Tom Shewbridge says
I only get one every so often. But thanks for the heads up.
Chris MCcann says
I’ve probably seen in a thousand since 87 I guess you just got to be lucky
Denise Shoik says
That would be so awesome. It looks like a lot of people do buy the cash explosion tickets. Some people get on the show with one ticket.
We have sent maybe 10 in the past year.
Good luck to you.
