Often times, having information at your reach can be handy in any situation.  For EMT’s, Paramedic’s, and Nurses, time is not always a luxury we have.  So having quick references can be essential in just say for example converting someone’s weight from pounds to kilos.  While you could try and figure it in your head, visually seeing something quickly can make a difference when time is not on your side.

Solution?  a product like this.  Created by a company called MedicBuddies.com, they have put together quick reference At a Glance information ID badges that can be added to your own workplace one for easy convenience. You can check out their Facebook page here as well.  The group I think that would get boost of confidence out of this would be Students, whether you are an EMT, Paramedic or Nursing Student, having some of this information on hand would be able to build your skill set, and help you learn more out of the things that you are doing.

So I was given the opportunity to take a look at a few of these, 5 of the 10 available to buy.  The information is very easy to read, well organized, and created where they are virtually waterproof.  You can see some of the example that I have had the chance to look at below.

There are other subjects available too, like: Pediatric Weight Conversion, Glasgow Coma Scale, Rule of 9’s Burn Information, and the APGAR Scale.

These might have come in handy when I was going to school some 15-20 years ago, but they again would make great reference guides, or perfect for students, also think gift ideas for someone you would think would enjoy them, or who might just need them.

As a veteran 23 year EMT/Paramedic, I can say these are high quality made, useful bits of information within reach for everyday use. So take a look, if you have them, or have used them, would love to know your thoughts!
