I love playing adventure/horror types of games on my iPad. Often times though, there are not enough games that fit this category. In Fear I trust for the iOS operating system, fits some of those requirements for the iPhone and the iPad.
Developed by Black Wing Foundation, and Published by Chillingo, I was given a review copy of In Fear I Trust for the purpose of this article. The game takes the “Escape the Room” concept and elevates it with some stunning visuals and cut scenes, along with an eerie soundtrack. The game recommends you play with headphones on, and if you want the most out of the game, and to be able to hear the occasional pounding on the walls, or screams down the hallway, it is your best bet to wear them. While not wearing them will not take anything from the game, just that up close and personal feeling with the sounds to your ears adds a little flare to the game.
With the screenshots below, you can see how visually stunning the game really is, I have also included the trailer for the game so you see some of the visuals in action as well.
The game-play is pretty standard, look and interact with objects, search the room you are in for everything you need, find ways to put items together to complete a puzzle and progress through the game. I think some of the puzzles over all were easy, and not as challenging, but it is still an overall wonderful game.
Pros: Stunning Graphics, Wonderful Soundtrack and Sounds, Overall feel of the game.
Cons: A few easy puzzles, small learning curve with moving around, and the game crashed a few times (but I did not lose progress).
Where to buy, right from the iTunes App Store, how much? It is $2.99
I hope to see more from this Developer, I truly enjoy this game, I really think you will too. So check it out, grab it here if you need to, and immerse yourself into a game that wants you to find your way out.
