I have always felt that there is that creative energy in all of us, that spark of an idea that will allow us to showcase our passion and dedication to bringing a new product, service, thought, whatever it may be to light. Rescue Rub by Code3Spices captures that creativity and combines it with marketing to a bring you a unique product like this.
Rescue Rub is just one of the specialty blends that they make, I was given a bottle for the purpose of this review. My opinions are my own, and my wife’s (she did the cooking!), and are not influenced by outside sources.
The first thing I noticed about this all purpose seasoning is that it is MSG and Gluten Free. Two very important diet and health related factors that make this product stand out from some of the others.
Product Description (from the Company)
This is a great all purpose rub. Can be used anywhere from meats to vegetables, but also on soups, popcorn and anything you would love to add flavor! Very little heat, but a huge amount of flavor!
Ingredients: Â Turbinado Sugar, Sea Salt, Spices, Garlic Powder, Paprika, Onion Powder and Not More than 2% Tricalcium Phosphate Added to Prevent Caking
So what did we use it on? A fine cut of pork chop. The result: A slightly sweet, not to hot flavor to it. If you don’t like a lot of heat in your spices or seasonings, then this is the one for you! As you can see by the pictures below, you can see the caramelization of the sugar present on the meat. I like my seasonings just a little bit hotter, but for all the things you could use this with, it is truly the perfect all purpose seasoning.
So where do you ask, can you get it? You can grab it direct from the website here —> Rescue Rub, 6.5oz Bottle $5.95 a portion from every sale goes to fallen Military, Rescue, Paramedic, or Firefighters and their families. I love companies that give back to those who need it the most! You can find them on Facebook and Twitter too! Check out their products, and their efforts to help those who can really use it!
They also have other flavors available like Sea Dog Rub, Grunt Rub, 5-0 Rub, Backdraft Rub, and they sell combo kits as well!
So what type of seasonings do you like most? Sweet? Sour? Hot? Flaming Hot? Did I stick my tongue into the Sun hot? Let me know what kind you like?
