Again, before all things are said, I love collecting Art Cards, or Sketch cards, or also know as ACEO cards because of their size, which is about the size of a baseball card. I will be featuring artists who I love collecting from, in addition to the posts of cards I see on eBay that I like as well. Today, I want to present you with the examples of Ashleigh Popplewell, who is the first artist whose work I started to focus on collecting from. While some of my collection varies from a lot of different artists, there are a few artists that I seek out their work specifically and Ashleigh is one of them! She has been featured in many of the collectible non-sports sets that have been out, and she also does trade shows like San Diego Comic Con, among others.
Between sets you can find her doing commissions for people who want a specific idea or character drawn from her, and those vary based on her schedule and what she is working on. I am honored to own about 12 pieces of her work, and I will be displaying more of her work on my site in the future. For now you can check out some of her designs and project work over at her DeviantArt page and she also does art casts (live videos of her working in real time) over at UStream and she also has a Facebook Fan Page here . Collecting these is fun, can be shared and adored by others, and for me just something I love doing because I like seeing the world through someone eyes, other than my own.
