My grandson was sick today and we had to take him to Urgent Care. They helped to relieve his symptoms and on the way out gave him a Freezer Pop. I plan to keep some Freezer Pops on hand at home for sick days.

My only tip is to try to sweat it out. I just wrap myself up until I sweat the sickness out.

My sick day tip is to not expect to get things done. Take the time and be with your sick child. Make them feel cozy and keep motrin on hand.

When my kids have a sick day I have my arsenal ready,they have their favorite pillow and soft blanket,cough and cold meds, vapo rub, jello cups,plenty of chicken noodle soup and crackers,apple juice,water,and frozen juice bars,and a big box of tissues,a storybook and crayons and coloring book. I will put in a favorite,comforting movie and plenty of rest. If they need me I am there and we will fight this together!

Get as comfortable as possible in front of the tv wrapped in blankets. Drink as much fluids as possible and get as much sleep as possible.

Be prepared. Keep cold/flu meds on hand and have DVDs, puzzles, books etc… ready to keep the kids busy while they’re recovering.
